OFFLINE TRAVEL PACK
Albania essentials, even when your data disappears.
Save the practical pages you are most likely to need on buses, airport transfers and road trips. After one download, this pack works from your browser in airplane mode.
This pack saves the Albania Essentials homepage, this offline card and every practical guide in English. Clearing browser site data removes the saved copy.
📲 Optional: add it to your home screen
Your browser may offer “Add to Home Screen” or “Install app”. This is optional — saved pages work offline from the browser after download.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE WI-FI
Save these before an intercity or road trip
- Download an offline map for the full route, not only the destination.
- Screenshot your accommodation address and map pin.
- Save the exact bus terminal or stop — Tirana has more than one departure point.
- Keep Albanian lek in cash for buses, small businesses and rural stops.
- Save your hotel and transport operator phone numbers.
- Save Albania’s emergency number: 112.
BUS & FURGON CHEAT SHEET
When the timetable is not the whole story
Check eTransport and the operator close to travel day. “Tirana” can mean different terminals or stops.
Show the place name before boarding, especially for smaller towns or informal shared vans.
Lek is the safest backup for local and intercity transport.
Large bags may be placed in a luggage hold or separate area. Keep valuables with you.
If the departure is full, moved or cancelled, check another operator, shared taxi or an overnight stop.
EMERGENCY & ROAD TRIPS
If you have no data
📞 Emergency
Dial 112 for emergency help in Albania. The State Police publishes 112 as the free emergency number.
🗺️ Offline map
Save the full route before leaving a city. Mountain and coastal roads can take longer than the distance suggests.
🏨 Address
Keep your accommodation name, phone number and map pin offline.
💵 Cash
Do not depend on card acceptance for small transport operators, parking and rural businesses.
MOBILE DATA
Local data can be cheap — offline is still useful
Vodafone Albania currently lists tourist bundles, including a 15-day package at 2,700 ALL. Local data can be good value, but an offline backup still helps before activation and when coverage drops.
ARRIVAL
Tirana Airport basics without data
✈️ Airport bus
Save the official bus stop, timetable and your destination before leaving airport Wi‑Fi.
🚕 Taxi
Use the official airport taxi information or agree a clear fare before travelling.
🏨 Hotel address
Keep the address and map pin ready to show a driver without needing mobile data.
MONEY
Albania money card
- Currency: Albanian lek (ALL).
- Euros may be accepted in tourism, but lek is the official everyday currency.
- Cards are common in many tourist businesses, but cash still matters.
- Watch for the “old lek” habit: spoken prices can sometimes use an extra zero.
