SHORT ANSWER

Start with eTransport, not random old blog timetables.

The official platform is designed to provide route, station, terminal and timetable information for Albanian intercity road transport, including an English interface.

THE BEST STARTING POINT

Use the official eTransport platform

eTransport is a national platform created for intercity road transport. It lists routes, stations, terminals, schedules and operators and is intended to give travellers current verified information.

Official route search

Search by departure city/station, destination and date before you travel.

Open eTransport ↗

STEP BY STEP

How to search eTransport without speaking Albanian

The current eTransport homepage is usable without an account. These are the labels you are most likely to see:

  1. Nisja = departure. Enter the city or station you are leaving from.
  2. Mbërritja = arrival. Enter your destination.
  3. Koha e Udhëtimit = travel date.
  4. Ora = time. You can also choose whether the preference refers to departure or arrival.
  5. Nr. i personave = number of passengers.
  6. Kërko = search.

Open the result details and note the exact station/terminal and operator, not only the city name. eTransport also advertises official mobile apps for iOS and Android.

📍
Save the terminal name before you move.

In Tirana especially, knowing the exact terminal is more useful than simply having “Tirana” in your notes.

PRACTICAL REALITY

What should first-time visitors expect?

Check the exact station

“Tirana” can involve different terminals or stops depending on the route.

Recheck the day before

Do not rely on a screenshot from months ago or an old blog timetable.

Carry some lek

Even with growing e-ticketing, cash remains a useful backup for Albanian transport.

TIRANA AIRPORT

Airport buses are easy to check separately

Tirana International Airport publishes its own bus schedules and fares, including the 24/7 hourly line to central Tirana and connections to other cities.

FAQ

Quick questions

Is there an official bus timetable website for Albania?

Yes. eTransport is Albania's national platform for intercity bus routes, stations, terminals and schedules.

Should I rely on old Albania bus timetables from blogs?

Use them only as background. Check eTransport or the transport operator close to your travel date because routes and times can change.

Do I need cash for buses in Albania?

Carry some lek as backup. Electronic ticketing is developing, but cash remains important in Albania, especially with smaller operators and businesses.
